BCN Berlin

Lilli, a graphic designer from Berlin who we met while at the Primavera Sounds festival in Barca this year, is looking to set up a new PDF magazine and hopefully some exhibitions in Germany. This is some work in progress for the 1st edition, themed on Barcelona (as thats where everyone met). When I look back at my time in Barca, dark, smokey bars and red bottles of Estrella Damn always come to mind along with the blurred vision and sketchy memories.

Jim took this photo of Graham in my garden in the middle of a booze driven weekend of shameful fun. Just think it's a winner of a picture, taken with a Lomo LC-A, Photoshop ain't got shit on a nice camera and some well picked film.
Random unfinished doodle and stuff.

A Very Exclusive DJ Set

Poster and flyer design for 'A very Exclusive DJ Set' forth coming at the Honest Politician in Southsea on the 9th October. Should be some good times and good music going on. Thanks to everyone who said that they liked the design and the kids that have been stealing them off the walls, I just hope that they stole them because they liked them and haven't just been ripping them off the walls for a laugh.

Battle of Bands

Poster design for a Battle of the Bands competition. All the lettering is made up of different instruments and patterns.

The Ornament Birds

Logo design for local Southsea band 'The Ornament Birds'. Well worth checking out on myspace music, weird hard to describe kind of music, but real good stuff. They once turned up to play a gig without a drummer so instead just used pots and pans, total winners.

Toby Taylor is cooler than you.

Toby Taylor all round hero and good guy. Me and Graham decided that he needed a tee shirt of his own so this was done, one day we may even get round to printing it.

Time to Kill.

No reason, just a random play around with photoshop.

Birthday's Rule!

I was asked to do some flyers for a good friends birthday, as always people change there mind about what the theme of the party is, and hence 2 flyers and twice the work. It's all fun and games though, beer was drunk, laughs were made and fun was had by all.

Save Southsea Skatepark!!!!

Southsea Skatepark has been open since the 1970's and for some reason Portsmouth City Council have decided to try and close the park down for good. No one who uses the skatepark was too happy about this and we all joined together to raise money, meet with the council argue and fight over what to do next. Surprisingly we managed to form a user group to fight the council as a team rather than an unorganized drunken ramble. Through months of fighting the Skateparks future is looking a little brighter. It's been a long road and has involved the help of Bored Skate Shop, everyone who uses the park and Spitfire Wheels to name a few. Here are a range of posters and logo designs for the user group, skate days and fund raiser events last summer.
